Pastor Carmelo Serrano, Jr.

Rev. Carmelo Serrano, Jr. is currently the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church.  He accepted the call to come and shepherd this church family after a unanimous vote on March 25, 2007.  Pastor Serrano accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior on October 27, 1994 and soon thereafter enrolled at Baptist Bible College East, now known as Boston Baptist College, where he earned a Bachelor of Biblical Studies Degree.

Prior to becoming the pastor of Calvary Baptist, Pastor Serrano was co-pastor of Third Baptist Church in Fall River, MA and worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Massachusetts State Trooper. He retired from the Massachusetts State Police on April 27, 2007 in order to fulfill the desire God had placed on his heart to shepherd the Calvary Baptist Church Family here in Dedham, MA.

Pastor Serrano has been actively serving the Lord since 1995. He and his family have served the Lord in local church ministry since that time. Their ministries have involved children's ministry, teen ministry, and a preaching and singing ministry that afforded them the opportunity to travel throughout New England sharing the Gospel message via the Word of God and Gospel music.
